ELIGIBILITY

SAINTGITS offers M.Tech in the following subjects.

Eligibility: First Class B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering). Valid GATE scores preferred. Admissions are strictly on merit.

1)Candidates who have appeared for the final exam may also apply provided their results are made available at the time of  admission".

2) Non M G university candidates shall submit eleigibility certificate frm MGU as well as Migration certificates at the time of admission.

Criteria of Eligibility for Admission

1. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50 % marks in Mathematics separately, and 50 % marks in mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology put together are eligible for admission.
2. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC(socially and educationallybackward classes) with a total annual income not exceeding Rs. 2.5 lakhs, will have a relaxation of 5% marks.

Criteria of Eligibility for Admission

1. The students entering MCA must have a
   A pass in any recognized regular Bachelor's Degree course of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level
   OR
   A pass in any recognized Regular Bachelors Degree course of minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the Subjects
   OR
   A pass in BCA Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized University"
2. Subject to the regulation relating to prescribed minimum of the respective qualifying examination, the minimum marks of admission to the course of studies shall be a pass in the case of SC/ST candidates.
3. Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) referred to GO(P)208/66/Edn dated.  2-5-96 and subsequent amendments to order issued by the Government shall be given a relaxation of 2% marks in the prescribed minimum for admission.
4. A relaxation of 5% marks from the prescribed minimum shall be allowed in the case of physically handicapped persons.
5. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in more than one chance in the subject (excluding languages) will have their percentage marks derated at the rate of 5% for every additional appearance for the purpose of ranking. 
   Candidates with such degrees awarded by the Mahatma Gandhi University or any other degree recognized as equivalent to degrees  in 1(a)    by the Mahatma Gandhi University also are eligible to apply.
   

Reservation of seats shall be as per rules prescribed in the relevant rules by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala
