Industrial Training

SAINTGITS College of Engineering has signed an MOU with Infosys Technologies through its Campus Connect Programme, an industry - academia partnership initiative in our campus to deepen the industry-academia relationship, and create a strong foundation for the emerging knowledge economy in India. As a part of the Campus Connect initiative, Infosys has also hosted a Campus Connect portal to enable students and faculty to access technology related information and courseware that is relevant to the IT industry.

As part of this programme, teaching staffs are being trained by Infosys through Faculty Enablement Programme (FEP) at Infosys Campus, Chennai. The CC programme includes subjects that cover the basic knowledge required for software professionals. Mr. Hari S, Programme Coordinator, Infosys Development Center, Trivandrum and Mr. Ravi Illimattathil, Manager, Software Testing dept, Trivandrum, visited SAINTGITS on 26^th August 2009. Mr. Hari S introduced the new version of FDP programme FP 3.0 and explained its features and importance.

Research Activities

Department has a good number of research scholars with focus on emerging areas such as Image Processing, Numerical Algorithms, Software Engineering, Data Security, Data Compression, Biometrics etc. Faculty members are very active in publications and an indicative list of involvement is as follows:
