Collaborative Research MoU

A MoU had been signed with Sierra Atlantic, IEEE Sipsycom, ITFR & Manonmaniam Sundaranar University for doing collaborative research works in Image Processing using IDL software.

MoU with Infosys

SAINTGITS College of Engineering has signed an MOU with Infosys Technologies through its Campus Connect Programme, an industry - academia partnership initiative in our campus to deepen the industry-academia relationship, and create a strong foundation for the emerging knowledge economy in India. As a part of the Campus Connect initiative, Infosys has also hosted a Campus Connect portal to enable students and faculty to access technology related information and courseware that is relevant to the IT industry.

HCL MoU

SAINTGITS College of Engineering entered into an MoU with HCL Infosystems Ltd on 20th July, 2009. This will enable summer trainings for our students at HCL facilities, HCL factory visits, guest lectures for engineering and management students, and an added advantage for campus selection.  Special schemes for IT products of HCL will be made available to our students under this pact.

IBM Software Center of Excellence (IBM CoE) MoU

SAINTGITS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IBM to pursue higher education for students and faculty members by giving a free training of IBM tools and Software Certifications. IBM opened a Software Centre of Excellence @ SAINTGITS with the aim of providing world class skills to students on IBM latest Technologies and IBM products. Through the IBM Academic Initiative, IBM is working with colleges and universities across the country to put open-standards skills to the test and allow innovation to take the lead in the ever-changing technology workplace. The IBM Software Centre of Excellence enables to conduct training for students through the faculty enabled by IBM.Through the focused industry-academia interaction, the department aims toward a learning and creative community of practice for academic and research excellence.

Laboratories

The Computer Science  Department is continuously striving to adhere to the mission of imparting Education of high standards and specific skills training to make their students more employable. Laboratories are well-equipped with sophisticated and excellent facilities available to the students on an individual basis. The Department is equipped with six laboratories, each has 32 Dual Core computer systems loaded with dual Operating Systems (Linux and Windows), connected to the campus-wide LAN and on to the Internet though the proxy server and  firewall. The network served by high end Linux and Windows Servers running on latest softwares. Licensed versions of all the major program compilers, other front end, back end, scripting, design tools and research oriented tools are available to the students for their regular practice sessions. High Speed Wireless internet facility has also been provided in the campus.

Library

The department library is a vital resource of information that serves the academic and research needs of the Department of Computer Science by providing textbooks, project reports, and other scholarly materials to faculty, researchers, and undergraduate students in the field of computer science. Other than text books, B-Tech Project Reports, Lab Manuals, Previous Year Question Papers, CD-ROMs, Course Files are also included.
