Management Festival: SIMTHESIS- Management Fest for PG (Final Day). Valedictory function was chaired by Dr. Sivaram Srikandath, Director of Programmes, Manorama Vision, who also gave away the prizes to the winners of the various events.

Management Festival: SIMTHESIS - 2008 the path breaking management festival of the Institute started in 2007 was recast and made a 3 day programme with the first day for undergraduate competitions and the second and third days for MBA level competitions.  27 colleges participated and there were over 330 participants. The events were Business Plan, Best Manager, HR Game, Marketing Game, Stock Market Simulation, Business Quiz, and the now much sought after SIM-DJ which makes everyone rock at the end of the first day of the MBA competitions.
The overall program was inaugurated by Mr. M.S.A.Kumar, Chairman, CII (Kerala Chapter) & MD, AVT Mc Cormick Ingredients Pvt. Ltd., and the competitions of the MBA by Mr. George Paul, Director- Marketing, Synthite Industries Ltd. The dignitaries gave an insight into the management imperatives for the young manages and motivated them to achieve excellence.  SIMTHESIS will be back next year. 
Value Added Courses-Six Sigma 5 Day Belt Awarding Training: Award of Six Sigma Green Belt: 55 students of 2007 batch was trained in 6 Sigma and 41 qualified for award of Green Belt in Six Sigma by master trainer, Mr. Gourishankar of TGS Consultants, Chennai.

Cultural Event: While our senior batch was still on Marketing project, the 2008 batch pulled a coup together by organizing a grand Onam celebrations with the Alumini -1 (2006-2008 batch) as guests. 
National Conference: National Conference on Finance and Banking. Sim's debut research focused conference sponsored by AICTE and supported by Travancore Management Association had excellent response from all over India. There were participants from 7states and faculty from a number of institutes of repute presented research papers. The event was inaugurated by Mr. A.P. Kurien, Chairman, Association of Mutual Funds of India and Key Note address was delivered by Mr. Prabhu, Executive Director, South Indian Bank. The papers were published as an edited book 'An Anthology of Contemporary Research in Finance and Banking' by Excel publications. Copies of the book can be procured from Saintgits Institute of Management.

Graduation Ceremony: Graduation Ceremony of the first passing out batch of MBA 2006. The debut batch with 100% placement had top CTC of Rs. 12.6 Lakhs and average CTC of Rs. 2.4 Lakhs. For more details see our "Placement" page.

Faculty Development Programme: FDP by Dr Jayasankaran of Bharatidasan Institute of Management for the faculty of SIM. 
Boot Camp: Boot Camp for the new batch-2008 admissions at Anugraha Renewal Centre, Vazhoor. Training sessions handled by Mr Cherian Varghese, Cmdr Justine Xavier, Mr Bruce Miller and Ms Jane Miller. 
Faculty Development Programme: Faculty interaction with Dr Thomas Chandy, Cornell University, USA to evaluate their research work and evolve new targets. Workshop: Three Day workshop of Mr Joby Cyriac, Master Trainer, for Certificate Courses on Transactional Analysis and Neuro Linguistic Programming. 
Industrial Visit: Industrial Visit for S1 MBAs to Hosur, Bangalore, Palakkad, Kanjikkode and Walayar . The students undertook visits to Companies including Ashok Leyland, Microlabs, Elkeyem Auto Ancillaries, Pepsico India and Malabar Cements. At Hosur, they were addressed by Mr LKM Adhi, President of Hosur Industries Association.
