NCFB 2010 - Objectives The objective of NCFB is to bring together academicians and practitioners with research interests in the field of finance and banking. The conference provides a forum for disseminating new research findings, practices and techniques in finance and exchanging ideas among academicians and practitioners to promote a better understanding of contemporary issues and solutions to the challenges which are faced due to the reforms.

Conference Sessions Keynote Address: The keynote speakers would be eminent corporate personalities who would share invaluable experiences and insights with the participants.
Plenary sessions: In these sessions, experts from industry would deliberate on contemporary issues and challenges in their respective areas. The purpose of both these functions are to open new avenues of research required by the industry as also share the academicians knowledge with industry which can enable sponsored research and consultancy. Technical Sessions: The purpose of these sessions is to present and discuss new and unpublished research papers in the conference. The research paper presentations should be primarily of interest to the academic community and practitioners. Important Guidelines for Submission of Research Papers
- The paper with an abstracts not exceeding 300 words must be submitted online (E mail ID : ncfb2010@saintgits.org) on or before May 30, 2010.
- The manuscripts will be subjected to blind review process by a panel. Nature of the research problem, implications of the proposed research, the quality of the research design, and the original contribution of the research work to the literature will be used as a basis to determine the suitability of the papers for presentation.
- All manuscripts, with a maximum size of 6000 words should be in English and typed in MS - Office Word in Times New Roman (12-size font) in double space with a margin of 1' on both the sides. All tables must be consecutively numbered using Arabic numerals with appropriate titles. Footnotes should be listed consecutively in the text with superscript Arabic numerals. Bibliographical references should be on a separate sheet of paper by following APA style. The reviews mentioned in the article should not be numbered in the article.
4. Each paper should contain a title page specifying the title of the paper, author's full name, affiliation, telephone number and the email address of all the authors. Authors should not write their name and affiliations any where else in the paper.

Publication
Abstracts of all the papers accepted will be published as conference proceedings in CD form and selected articles will be published as an edited book with ISBN by a leading publisher, subject to editorial modifications. SIM would hold the copyright of all the papers published in the edited book. | |

Beyond the Conference
Saintgits Institute of Management is located at Pathamuttom, Kottayam which is very close to the world famous Kumarakom backwaters. You can drive to Kumarakom or take a boat from Kottayam through the inland water way. Either way, do not forget to enjoy the boat ride in the backwaters thronged by hundreds of foreign tourists. The close by Periyar wildlife sanctuary at Thekkady is yet another scenic 'must visit'. Enjoy the boat ride deep into the reserve forest, have an elephant ride and a walk through spice gardens. You can also plan a visit to Kanyakumari, a five hour train ride. Kochi another tourist spot with its Jew Street, Synagogues and Cherai Beach is just 70 km away from Kottyam. Other exotic locations like Munnar, Silent Valley and Sabarimala Pilgrim centre are accessible easily from Kottayam. Kottayam is well connected by road links, rail and airports at Kochi (70 km) and Trivandrum (150 Km).
