Core Faculty

Is drawn from the corporate and academic world and is carefully chosen for their varied exposure and innovative pedagogy.

The core faculty of 13 consists of 2 PhD holders, 2 M.Phil holders, 3 with FDP from IIM (A), one who is a product of IIM (C), 7 with corporate experience and one entrepreneur cum teacher. All faculty are engaged in research and publications. Our faculty to student ratio is 1:9 and is one of the highest among b-school and 60% of them have more than 10 years of experience. We have ensured that the core faculty consists of 2 psychologists to ensure better mentoring and guiding of our young aspirant managers.

Dr. Roji George MBA, Ph.D.

Profile: Dr. Roji George is a Professor of Finance and Associate Dean (Research). He is an AIMA accredited management faculty with 15 years of experience in teaching and research with many prestigious B-schools from S. India. His doctoral work is in the area of Corporate Restructuring from Bharathiar University and he holds his Master's degree in management from Madras University. Dr. Roji has edited three books on Finance, published research articles in many refereed journals and presented papers in many national and international conferences. He is a recipient of Post Doctoral Fellowship from ICSSR, New Delhi. Dr. Roji is an approved research guide for doctoral programme, member of Board of Examiners of various Universities and professional institutions in India. Prof. Thomas Varghese, BE, MBA, FDP ( IIM A).

Profile: Prof. Thomas Varghese holds MBA in Marketing from Madras University and a degree in Electrical Engineering from Regional Engineering College Calicut (NIT-C). He has industrial experience of more than 20 years having worked with US based Multinational Company Cummins Engines in various places, the last position being Assistant General Manager, Marketing. Has attended Faculty Development Program at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and is currently pursuing PhD in Services Marketing. Prior to joining Saintgits, he was Director of the MBA Programme at DC School of Management and Technology, Vagamon. Dr Stephen Analil - M com, Ph.D, LLB, DBM, DME.

Dr Stephen Analil Started his career in the Indian Air Force and took part in the Bangladesh aggression in 1971. In 1983 he joined St stephen's College Uzhavoor in the Dept of Commerce and was the Principal of the college for three years. He then worked as the Director of two institutes in Mumbai namely, Institute of Management and Computer studies (IMCOST) and Swayam Sidhi College of Management and Research (SSCMR).

Dr Stephen Analil is an approved research guide for Commerce in Mahatma Gandhi University and a recognized teacher of the Mumbai University for MMS, (MBA), MMM, MFM, MHRM and Ph.D Degree.

He was the Chief Editor of 'Indian Commerce Bulletin' an approved bi-annual research journal in Business Studies. He is the Founder General Secretary of Commerce Association of Kerala and the president of the Association till 2011.

He has authored three books and has published more than 35 research papers and articles. He has functioned as the general convener of fifteen national and three international seminars. He has participated and presented papers in 27 national and international seminars. He was a member of NAAC peer team for accreditation of colleges.

Dr Stephen Analil is actively involved in conducting career guidance and personality development courses for college and school students. He is the management and financial consultant of ASL, an NRI investment management company at Ernakulam. He is the chairman of Education commission and member of the Governing body of the Corporate Educational Agency of colleges in the Diocese of Kottayam.

Prof. Jacob George,B.Tech., PGDM(IIM C)

Profile: An engineer who started his career with the reputed public sector undertaking, National thermal Power Corporation, Mr. Jacob George went on to take the prestigious Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Calcutta with scholarship. His foray into the private sector was with a cluster of companies called Midas group manufacturing tyre retread materials where he was the management executive in charge of quality and training. He was also instrumental in the creation and development of the flagship company called Midas Marketing which has become the leader in the sale of tyre retread materials in India. After fourteen years of corporate experience, he shifted to the education field where he brings a fresh approach to academics with an amazing combination of academic rigour, management reputation and corporate expertise to the class.

He is an empanelled visiting professor of the Management department in the Mahatma Gandhi University and is a certified internal auditor for ISO 9002. He has done consultancy for Kottayam Port, the first Inland Container Depot in India. He has registered for doing his Ph D at the Anna University, Coimbatore and the research is in the area of Member satisfaction at Urban Cooperative Banks. Prof. Ajith Thomas B.H.M., M.B.A.

A Profile: An alumnus of Berchmans' Institute of Management Studies, Mr. Ajith Thomas holds M.B.A in Marketing. His first professional degree is a bachelor's degree in Hotel Management from Christ College, Bangalore and has been with the hospitality service sector for more than 10 years, in the area of Corporate Sales & Marketing. Having worked with Multinationals like Pepsico, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc. (Le Meridien brand), Carlson Hotels Worldwide (Park Inn brand) and companies of national stature like the K. Raheja Group of Hotels, the assignment held by him before joining academics, was as Account Director - Sales & Marketing, at Le Meridien Resort and Convention Centre, Cochin. He was also a certified departmental trainer at the hotel. An Accredited Management Teacher (AIMA, NewDelhi) in Services Marketing, his assignment as Assistant Professor at SJCET School of Management, Palai was for more than 2 years and was his first full time assignment in academics.

He is an Associate Professor at Saintgits Institute of Management (SIM) where he coordinates on various foreign university progammes. He also handles Leadership courses for a mentor group in the Master's level, apart from the regular teaching assignments in Management and Marketing areas. His specialization areas are Marketing of services, Hotel Marketing Channels and Technology in marketing. He is also a research scholar of ANNA University, Coimbatore and has authored the first ever electronic book on 'Services Marketing'. Mr. Thomas is also a consultant to Seiko Instruments Inc., Japan. Asst : Prof : Subramoniam. K , M.Sc.(Ag.), MBA (Finance), M.Phil, CAIIB

Asst Prof Subramoniam K is a banking professional who took to academics after his VRS in 2006. He has more than twenty two years experience in the banking sector with many years in the capacity of Branch Manager of several branches of SBT and also as CEO and General Manager of Kottayam Co-operative Urban Bank. He is also an Associate member of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai for more than two decades. He is an accredited trainer in Banking and Behavioural Science from State Bank Academy, Gurgaon and conducts corporate training in CRM, Organisational Development, Insurance and Strategic Management.

Before joining Saintgits he was an Assistant Professor in School of Management Studies, Adi Sankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kalady. He is able to bring his rich experience to our class room.

Asst. Prof. Kishinchand Poornima Wasdani, MBA,MPhil, FDP (IIM A).
Kishinchand Poornima a Master of Business Administration and Mphil in Human Resource Management from the University of Madras and is working as an Assistant Professor in HR area at Saintgits Institute of Management. Before joining Saintgits, she worked in NIHRD, Chennai and later was a Junior Research Fellow in Kanswei Gakuin University, Kobe, Japan for two years.

Ms Kishinchand Poornima was a Social Development Consultant to the Kudumbashree ( A government initiated NGO for social empowerment). She has published research articles, chapter of a book and case studies in well reputed HR journals and has presented several papers in national HR conferences and edited a book titled Human resource -An Anthology of Contemporary. She attended the four months Faculty Development Programme (FDP) at Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad) .She has been the chief coordinator of the National HR summit 2009 (HRPM) conducted by National Institute of Personnel Management, Saintgits Institute of Management and Economic Times which was well received by the corporate and academic professionals
.
At present she is pursuing her doctoral program at Department of Management Studies Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in the area of Social networking. Her areas of interest are Communication theory, Social networking and Performance Management.

Profile: Born and brought up in the middle East, she came to India to do her graduation and post graduation in Psychology. She has more than five years teaching experience.She worked as a lecturer in the Department of Psychology, Nagpur University and in ICFAI National College, teaching Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. Asst. Prof. Rani Varghese, B.E, MBA

Ms Rani Varghese holds an MBA in Finance and has completed her Integrated First Degree from BITS-Pilani. Before joining Saintgits, she was working as a faculty in ICFAI for five years. Her areas of interest are Quantitative Methods, Operations Research and Operations Management. She has two years industrial experience in software and brand building. Asst. Prof Krishnan M, MCom, MBA, FDP ( IIM A)

Mr. Krishnan M has Masters in Commerce and Business Administration. Before joining Saintgits Institute of Management, he was working as a faculty in the area of Accounts and Finance in DC School of Management and Technology, Vagamon for 7 years. He has undergone the Faculty Development Programme at IIM Ahmadabad.. His areas of interest are Investment Management, Cost Management and Corporate Finance. He has also offered courses in many other business schools in Kerala in the capacity of visiting faculty. He successfully offered an MDP on Agri Business with Special reference to Coconut based products to CEOs and Managing Directors of many companies. He is currently pursuing PhD in the area of Strategic Financial Management in Cochin University of Science And Technology. Asst.Prof. Nisa James B.Tech., PGDM

Nisa James, a trained Engineer, holds a PGDM from SCMS-Cochin and specialises in Systems, Operations and Marketing. Prior to joining Saintgits, she taught MBA and B-Tech students in Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, Chennai., and Berchmans Institute of Management, Changanachery. She has a proven academic track record in her scholastic and non-scholastic activities and has won several prizes in various National Conferences for her Paper presentations. She has also contributed a chapter in a book entitled 'Trends in Retail Store Selection Behaviour'. Her areas of interest include 'Supply Chain Management', 'Logistics' and 'ERP'. Ms Elizabeth Dominic holds an MBA from Christ University, Bangalore, M Phil from Annamalai University and is currently pursuing Ph D in the area of Organizational Behavior in Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam. Before joining Saintgits , she worked as a Faculty with Mar Athanasious College for Advanced Studies(MACFAST) Thiruvalla for an year and ICFAI University for 7 years. Profile: He is a product of UT, Austin, USA and has considerable expertise in SAS and handles the SAS Value Added Course.

Profile: A veteran programmer with corporate experience, he is a core faculty of the MCA department and brings with him exceptional computing skills.

Profile: An expert in teaching fundamentals of finance, he has special focus and expertise in handling Managerial Accounting, thus laying the path for strong financial skills.
